At our November meeting we discussed ways to strengthen our grassroots efforts in building a real Democratic Party presence in Hamilton County. This will include education of candidates and campaign workers; fundraising to support education, club and candidates; and community outreach / presence. To get started here is a short video on fundraising; also see part two. Check your provisional ballot status Greg Purvis filled in for County Chair Keith Clock on the Provisional Ballot Board and reports most provisional ballots filed -- some due to voter qualification questions and others due to heavy turnout at the polls -- were disqualified. If you filed a Provisional Ballot, you should use this link to check you registration or provisional ballot status. If your ballot was not counted, you should contact the Hamilton County Election Office. If you still have questions, contact us and we will help you file the proper paperwork if possible. |

CityYES PAC formed Steming from his 2007 campaign for Fishers Town Council, Greg Purvis held the first meeting of a bi-partisan effort to bring accountability to Fishers government and move the legal status from Town of Fishers to City of Fishers. The change would bring a checks and balance form of goverance, providing accountability to the residents, and move Fishers to its proper status as the sixth largest city in the state. The bi-partisan effort created CityYES Political Action Committee, chaired by Greg Purvis. They are in the process of launching a web site, and petition campaign and are needing volunteers. Here are the contacts to volunteer, sign a petition, or donate funds for this effort.
